An inquiry in to the claims of exclusivity by major world religions with special reference to Christianity. If Jesus

is the only way to salvation, what happens to genuine believers of other religions? Are there revelations of God outside the Judeo Christian tradition?

    “The God Next Door” 

     (Discovering the ‘Unknown God’ in World Religions)

 

The process of building ‘missiological bridges’ with people of other religions: Exploring redemptive analogies in Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism (Jesus as the Messiah, the Prophet, the Incarnate and the Enlightened) etc. to present the Christ of faith.

     “What’s so good about the Good News?”

     (The Gospel in a Pluralistic Society)


Uniqueness and significance of the Gospel message in a postmodern, pluralistic society: Sharing your faith with people of different religious beliefs and worldviews with conviction and compassion.

    Examines the portrayal of Jesus in Islam

    and what Muslims believe about the divinity

    of Jesus,  his death on the cross etc.


2. JULY 10 TUESDAY

   Jesus according to Hinduism

    

     Explores what Hinduism says about Jesus

     and Christian doctrines such as

     incarnation, atonement etc.

  

  1. 3.JULY 11 WEDNESDAY

    Jesus according to Buddhism

    

    Explores what Buddhist tradition teaches about

    good and evil, the role of a Saviour, and the

    meaning of personal salvation.


4. JULY 12 THURSDAY

   Jesus according to Sikhism

    

     Examines how Jesus fits into the Sikh quest for

     Guru - a teacher that leads his disciples through

     the path of eternal truth.


  1. 5.JULY 13 FRIDAY

     Jesus according to New Age Spirituality

   

     Examines how a New Age understanding

     of Jesus and Salvation differs from

     traditional Christian convictions.
